Role
The Dalai Lama lives to promote happiness, compassion, justice, forgiveness, tolerance, contentment and self-discipline. He has travelled all around the world trying to promote these values. Many important political leaders have met and talked with the Dalai Lama for hours. The former president of the United States, Bill Clinton, was one of these political leaders who sat down and talked with Tenzin Gyatso, the current Dalai Lama.
The Dalia Lama has not only spoken to political leaders but makes the effort to talk to thousands of people in many countries. He travels to spread his message about the values he believes in; in hope of showing people that they too should have similar values. He is never against any religions or beliefs of people; in fact he believes that everyone should respect each others religious beliefs and values. He only tries to help people see that they too, can make a difference in the world by helping the suffering and living a good life.
'I believe in tolerance for all - so long as all have a "good heart".' Dalai Lama
