Kalden and Seldon
Hey, I’m Tenzin Seldon and I am a 17 year old girl on her last year of high school and due to the assignment handed out by our teacher me and another person have made this webpage. The other contributor to this webpage is Kalden Tsering and all his information is right below mine. :) See? Okay so, we had an assignment and we had to choose a visionary leader and every time I hear visionary leader I think of His Holiness the Dalai Lama instantly, therefore I had to do my assignment on him, but he was chosen so I partnered up with Kalden and now we are here. The Dalai Lama had always inspired me and influenced me greatly as I was growing up because he was like my hero, not the superman/batman type of hero, but like an actual hero, he is real. Think about it, at the age of 16 he was to rule an entire country, wow, that is so much responsibility, I can’t even take care of a dog properly. Anyways back to the Dalai Lama, yes, he had always inspired me because at that age he was ready, he was to study so many different things and at such a young age too. Here are some things he was learning Tenzin began his religious education at age 6. His schooling consisted of logic, Tibetan art and culture, Sanskrit, medicine and Buddhist philosophy, which is divided into five other categories dealing with the perfection of wisdom, monastic discipline, metaphysics, logic and epistemology—the study of knowledge. Wow when I first heard about that I was truly jealous and envious of him but from his teachings I learned to not carry such negative feelings towards any beings. Not only was his ability to learn all those things at a young age amazing, his words, the words he speaks at every lecture, every public talks, every speaking occasion is filled with knowledge. My future goals are to get into a university for early childhood development, graduate, get a job as a kindergarten teacher, make money, open up a daycare, and give back to society. My leadership style would most definitely be democratic leadership because I would want to be concerned for both the need of the people who work for me as well as the tasks that should be done. I love it if people were to participate together with me since it will lead to higher productivity and since everyone inputs their ideas everyone will feel equal, but they will also have the understanding that I am their boss and they will like me more since I listen to them and actually care about what they say. In running a business I think that a mix of Autocratic and Democratic leadership would be perfect. From the democratic leadership workers will be able to input their ideas and since they are the workers they will have a sense of how the things are running or if something’s wrong they can tell the boss and the boss will welcome it. Some aspects from the autocratic are getting the job done and knowing who is boss. So the boss will be on good terms with the workers by listening to their ideas or complaints but at the end of the day will decide whether he/she will take what they have to say into consideration if truly needed or not.
